WORTHINGTON HALL
The pictures above show Worthington Hall as it was pre 1900's, exact dates not known. The one on the left was found in a book of Standish and Shevington, showing an outbuilding, and the one on the right was found on a Wiganers web site. The Manor of Worthington was held by the family from before 1212 to late 1600, and rebuilt by Edward Worthington 1577. The picture on the right here shows the hall in its present day state.
It is now a working farm.
This photo shows the only remaining original timber construction work to the front of the house.
We visited the hall a couple of years ago and the owner very kindly let us take several photographs.
He has had other Worthington families visit, some from America.
